Sometimes as Christians we go on a rampant journey to find our “calling”. Which, in most cases, is a great thing because calling gives our life on Earth purpose. However, for many of us our views on the benefits of finding and living in this calling can become severely warped and we start focusing more of what we can gain from calling instead of what we can give through calling.
In this season of my life I’m starting to realize that “calling” (purpose) is not a quick way to become famous, make money or receive noteriety for achieving some level of greatness – although this has been the case for some persons. The ultimate goal of one living out their calling on Earth is to serve God by using the gifts and passions he has given us to serve our fellow man. Only then can we truly see the just reward of calling, which is relationship and meaningful contribution to the Kingdom.
So, what is your calling and how have you been using it to aid/serve others?
